European leathers and riding kit brands can have a hard time in the US - exchange rates, distribution logistics and the sheer size of that nation makes 'cracking America' a difficult dream to pursue.
But we're pleased to report that UK leathers firm BKS is having a bash. Since being bought by the Frank Thomas group earlier this year, BKS has had an injection of capital and clout, and now, seemingly, has the wherewithal to attack the US market. Starting out later this year, BKS will be selling its range of top-end off-the-peg leathers, gloves and jackets at 52 Cycle Gear dealerships nationwide.
